The Bluford Shops ready-to-run models will have the following features: Friction bearing or roller bearing trucks as appropriate for each road name, fully molded air tank and valve with piping, slope sheet braces, body mounted brake hose detail, separate brake cylinder, rod and lever detail (a first on an N scale open hopper!), body mounted magnetically operating couplers, coal load, diecast slope sheets and center sill, and injection molded plastic sides, ends and hopper doors. All runs will be available in multiple road numbers (a single and one of each of the multi-packs gives you one of each road number available.) Projected MSRP: $18.95 per car. See individual road names below for the multi-pack combinations. Delivery expected in Spring of 2010.

Important Notes:

In order to obtain each road number within a run, you want to order a single and one of each of the multi-packs. For instance, on the Western Railway of Alabama run if you order a single, a 2-Pack and a 3-Pack you will have all six road numbers available. If you order 6 singles instead, you will get six cars will all the same road number. The cars in the multi-packs are in individual plastic boxes with labels and then shrink wrapped together.  Also please remember that our minimum order is $20.00 so if you are only going to order two cars they must be from the same batch of roads so that it becomes a shippable order!  Sorry, we cannot hold first run roads while waiting for the second batch of roads to arrive.

It was started by two industry professionals who previously worked for a major manufacturer.  The name Bluford Shops comes from Bluford Yard on Illinois Central's Edgewood Cutoff portion of the Chicago-New Orleans mainline.  Their first release will be the Pullman Standard 86' Auto Parts Boxcar.  These will be available in both double and quad door models depending on the prototype.  Features include:
